What exactly is Mentrast?
Mentrast is a career capability platform, not just a course library. You define the career role you want to achieve (e.g., Software Engineer), and the system generates a dependency-mapped curriculum from your current knowledge level to that goal. It teaches you the concepts, forces you to practice in embedded coding environments, and objectively verifies your understanding before allowing you to progress.
How is Mentrast different from a chatbot like ChatGPT or Claude?
General-purpose LLMs are built to answer isolated questions, not to ensure long-term learning. They will happily write the answer for you, bypassing the struggle required to learn. Mentrast is a structured capability platform. The AI tutor is constrained within a curated path; its job is to explain the concept you are stuck on, not to solve the verification challenge for you.
Is Mentrast a course platform?
No. Traditional course platforms offer static video libraries where it is easy to fall into 'tutorial hell'—watching without doing. Mentrast is an adaptive curriculum engine that requires active execution and verification. You cannot skip ahead without proving you understand the underlying concepts.
Methodology
How does the engine build my career path?
Mentrast utilizes a 5-layer methodology: Goal Definition, Adaptive Pathing, AI Tutoring, Practical Environments, and Objective Assessment. The system maps every necessary technical concept in a strict dependency sequence. You cannot build a database API if you have not passed the verification for fundamental control flow logic.
Why does the system lock advanced topics?
We believe capability is built sequentially. If you skip foundational math or programming logic, you will inevitably hit a wall when dealing with complex systems architecture or machine learning vectors. Locking advanced topics forces you to build a secure foundation, preventing catastrophic knowledge gaps later.
How does the AI verify that I actually understand?
You are required to demonstrate capability in our embedded execution environments. For technical paths like Software Development or AI Engineering, you must write actual code (Python, JavaScript, Rust) or solve mathematical problems. The system evaluates the output and efficiency of your solution, not just multiple-choice answers.
Logistics & Privacy
Is my skill progress data used to train the AI?
No. You own your data. Your personal progress, code submissions, and chat history with the AI tutor are encrypted. We strictly do not use your private skill progress data to train our foundational models without explicit, opt-in permission.
Does Mentrast offer a plan for Engineering Teams?
Yes. 'Mentrast for Teams' allows technical leads to define a specific 'Target Graph' (e.g., standardizing a team on a new internal system architecture or cloud infrastructure). The platform then bridges the gap for each team member from their current baseline to that target, providing a dashboard for engineering velocity.
What is the pricing model?
