System Architecture
Mentrast is fundamentally a career capability platform, designed to help people become capable in the careers they want to pursue. It achieves this through a layered architecture:
1. Career Capability Platform (Category)
The overarching category. Mentrast is the environment where users define a target capability and follow a guided process to attain it.
2. Adaptive Curriculum (Mechanism)
The core mechanism. Mentrast builds adaptive career paths and curricula around the learner's goal, assessing prior knowledge to generate the most efficient sequence of dependencies.
3. AI Tutor (Teaching Layer)
The teaching layer. Natively integrated models that teach concepts step-by-step, answer questions in context, and adapt explanations based on the learner's progress.
4. Practical Environments (Doing Layer)
The doing layer. Embedded sandboxes and code execution environments where learners practice building actual projects rather than just reading theory.
5. Assessment (Proof Layer)
The proof layer. Systems that evaluate what the learner can actually do, identifying weaknesses and providing concrete evidence of capability.
